Architesh works as a Senior Project Associate at MCII and contributes to the research and policy advisory related to MCII’s mission. In MCII’s engagement with the InsuResilience Global Partnershiphe focuses on the topic of evidence and impact. In the past, Architesh provided further technical advisory and support for the V20 group on issues pertaining to climate and disaster risk financing for vulnerable countries. He is also responsible for advocacy and outreach on relevant climate policy and insurance networks.

Architesh holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Economics from India, where he concentrated on the role of insurance in climate change adaptation at the micro level. Prior to taking up his position at MCII, Architesh worked with the Grantham Research Institute (GRI) at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) in South and Southeast Asia, where he focused on climate and disaster risk insurance, building adaptation and resilience to climate change at the micro level through climate smart agricultural practices and addressing policy challenges of climate induced migration.
