The Future of Climate and Disaster Risk Finance—From Evidence to Action is an expert dialogue jointly organized by MCII/ UNU-EHS, the CVF-V20 Secretariat, the Global Shield Secretariat, and UC Davis.
This dynamic event will center around the critical role of evidence in scaling up, expanding, and deepening the impact of Climate Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance (CDRFI). This dialogue aims to:
- Reconvene the CDRFI Evidence Community: Discuss developments, new findings, and emerging research questions since the publication of the 2021 Evidence Roadmap.
- Foster Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing: Synthesize academic insights and implementation experience, examining successes, challenges, and methodological approaches.
- Determine Next Steps for Policy and Practice: Translate evidence into actionable strategies to enhance the effectiveness of CDRFI, particularly for CVF-V20 countries.
Join us as we work to close the protection gap and move from evidence to action for a more climate-resilient future!
