The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has launched its Compendium on Comprehensive Risk Management Approaches—a key resource, authored by experts from MCII!
The report, mandated by the UNFCCC and its Warsaw International Mechanism, provides practical guidance for countries on managing climate risks. It introduces the “C2RM Framework,” which aligns preemptive actions, contingency planning, and impact responses to help nations build resilience. The Compendium also systematizes real-world case studies submitted under the UNFCCC’s Loss and Damage framework.
MCII collaborated closely with the UNFCCC Secretariat and global experts to develop this resource, reinforcing its commitment to advancing climate risk solutions. The guide was also presented at COP 29 in Baku, further amplifying its impact on international climate policy.
