MCII will be represented by Soenke Kreft, Maxime Souvignet and Kehinde Balogun at this year’s Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction. Along with GIZ, within the context of the ACRI+ project, we will host 17 organizations under three main objectives: Achieving Resilience, Managing Risk and Strengthening Disaster Risk Governance.
The participating organizations are the Federal Republic of Germany Foreign Office; German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development; German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Energy; World Food Programme; Universtiy of Southern Queensland; World Meteorological Organization; ILO Impact Insurance; International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies; German Red Cross; Mercy Corps; InsuResilience Global Partnership; Welt Hunger Hilfe; RMS; Oasis and Pengwern Associates.
Alongside these organizations, we will be speaking about new approaches for disaster risk finance. MCII will host a live event on Thursday, 16 May on the topic: The added value of Insurance in the Comprehensive Climate Risk Management Approach.
